This Cancellation Policy ("Policy") outlines the terms under which users may cancel their subscriptions to the Basementgrid application. This Policy should be read in conjunction with our comprehensive Terms of Service, which governs your overall use of the Service, including specific terms related to payments for forms and refundable deposits.
Please read this Policy carefully. By subscribing to a paid Workspace plan or using the Basementgrid app, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Policy.
1. Scope of This Policy
This Policy specifically addresses the cancellation of paid Workspace subscriptions within the Basementgrid app.
2. Subscription Cancellation
2.1. How to Cancel: You may cancel your paid Workspace subscription at any time through your Account settings within the Basementgrid app or on our official website. Look for a "Manage Subscription" or "Billing" section in your profile settings.
2.2. Effectiveness of Cancellation:
- Your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current paid-for billing period (e.g., at the end of the current month if on a monthly plan, or at the end of the current year if on an annual plan).
- You will continue to have access to your Workspace's paid features until the end of that billing period.
- Upon the expiration of your current billing period, your Workspace will automatically revert to the features available under the free Workspace plan. Any features or capacity limits exclusive to your paid plan will no longer be available.
2.3. No Refunds for Partial Periods: Basementgrid does not provide refunds or credits for any partial subscription periods. For example, if you cancel a monthly subscription halfway through the month, you will not receive a refund for the remaining days of that month, but your access to paid features will continue until the end of that month.
3. Refunds for Subscriptions
As stated in Section 2.3, all paid Workspace subscriptions are non-refundable for any partial or past billing periods. This policy is in place because you retain access to the paid features for the entirety of the period you have paid for, up until your cancellation takes effect.
4. Payments for Forms and Deposits
This section outlines the cancellation and refund terms specifically for payments collected by Form Creators for forms or for refundable deposits through the Basementgrid app.
4.1. Basementgrid's Role: Basementgrid's role is limited to facilitating these payment transactions via a third-party processor. Basementgrid is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or specific requirements of the forms themselves, which are solely determined by the individual Form Creator.
4.2. Cancellation of Form Completion / Refund Requests:
- Cancellation of a form (i.e., requesting a refund for a payment made for a form or deposit) is handled directly by the Form Creator.
- Any requests for refunds related to form payments or deposits must be directed to the relevant Form Creator as per Section 6: Payment Terms (for Forms & Deposits) of the Terms of Service.
- The Form Creator is solely responsible for reviewing, approving, or denying such refund requests based on their own policies and the terms agreed upon with the tenant.
- Basementgrid does not directly process refunds for payments collected by Form Creators.
4.3. Refund Eligibility for Forms/Deposits: Refund eligibility for payments made for form completion or refundable deposits is determined by the Form Creator. Generally, payments for forms that have been fully completed and submitted are non-refundable, unless there are exceptional circumstances (e.g., technical error preventing submission) or the Form Creator, at their sole discretion, agrees to a refund. Please refer to the Form Creator's specific terms or contact them directly for details.
4.4. Cancellation of Bookings Requiring Payments:
- Basementgrid is not responsible for the cancellation, rescheduling, or refunds related to bookings that require payments.
- The terms and conditions for cancellation and refunds for paid bookings are set and managed solely by the User who offers the Location for booking (the "Location Owner").
- Any requests for cancellation, rescheduling, or refunds for paid bookings must be directed to the relevant Location Owner.
- Basementgrid merely provides the platform for facilitating bookings and payments; we do not manage the booking terms or process booking-related refunds.
5. Changes to This Policy
Basementgrid reserves the right to modify this Cancellation Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Policy within the Basementgrid app or on its official website. Your continued use of the Basementgrid app implies acceptance of the revised Policy.
6. Contact Information
If you have any questions about this Cancellation Policy or need assistance with your subscription, please contact us at payment@basementgrid.com. For specific refund requests or issues with form content or paid bookings, please contact the Form Creator or Location Owner directly.
