While Basementgrid is built natively for mobile devices, you can easily run the full app on your PC or Mac using BlueStacks. This allows building managers and council members to handle work orders, vendor approvals, and property logs from a larger screen and keyboard.
This guide walks through downloading BlueStacks, installing Basementgrid, and running the app on a desktop machine.

Step 1: Download and Install BlueStacks

Open your web browser and navigate to the official BlueStacks website (bluestacks.com).

Click Download BlueStacks (BlueStacks 5 is recommended for lightweight performance).

Open the downloaded setup file and click Install Now.

Once installation completes, BlueStacks will launch automatically.
Step 2: Set Up Google Play Store

On the BlueStacks home screen, open the Google Play Store.

Click Sign In and log in with your Google account.

Accept the Terms of Service to access the store.
Step 3: Install Basementgrid

In the Play Store search bar at the top, type Basementgrid.

Select Basementgrid from the search results.

Click Install to download the app into BlueStacks.
Step 4: Launch and Create Desktop Shortcut

Click the Basementgrid icon on the BlueStacks home screen to launch the app and sign in.

(Recommended) Right-click the Basementgrid icon in BlueStacks and select Create Desktop Shortcut. This allows you to launch Basementgrid directly from your PC or Mac desktop in the future.
Tips for Desktop Use

Site Photo Uploads: To attach verification photos to work orders, drag and drop image files directly from your computer into the BlueStacks window, or use your computer's connected webcam.

Performance Boost: If the app runs slowly, open BlueStacks Settings (gear icon) ➜ Performance and assign at least 2 CPU Cores and 2 GB RAM.
